What We Do
Little Tree Huggers (LTH) Earth Center is a bilingual nonprofit, nondenominational environmental educational initiative in Leesburg, Virginia dedicated to breaking down barriers to sustainability in all areas of society.
Our goal is to inspire children, their families, and even local businesses to connect with nature, care for the environment, and celebrate the diversity of our multicultural world.
LTH was a founding member of the Virginia Green Initiative in 2018 and in 2022 volunteered to host the Loudoun Green Business Challenge!
We believe that an eco-green environment is essential for the development of healthy minds and bodies. LTH’s unique farm setting coupled with plenty of surrounding nature comfortably and uniquely creates an excellent foundation for your child’s future education.
Expect your child to spend 75% of his/her time outdoors daily!
Our Roots
Little Tree Huggers (LTH) Earth Center is the evolution of Little Tree Huggers LLC, an award winning environmental educational initiative that has been in operation since 2015 in Leesburg, Virginia. Due to an overwhelming response to our curriculum and award winning environmental commitments like solar and geothermal, we were urged by the local community to embark on the process of purchasing sufficient acreage to meet the zoning and licensing requirements for an expanded nature preserve and Earth Center, able to impact the lives of hundreds of more children and families. Now that LTH LLC is at full capacity for the next 4 years, it is imperative that we work tirelessly so that we are able to purchase sufficient acreage to expand!
Our goal is to continue offering a five day a week, rain or shine farm-based educational program year-round; only closing two weeks of every July and following the Loudoun County Public school holiday calendar. (See our Programs Tab for pricing.)
